This annual heritage event is part of National Heritage Week which is run by the ​Heritage Council. The local Open Day is organised by Cork City Council under the leadership of the Heritage Officer. The Cathedral will be part of the programme in which 30 properties/venues/attractions are taking part.

• The Cathedral will be open to the public free of charge between 10am and 5.30pm. 
  
• Guided Tours available at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30am, 2.30pm, 3.30pm and 4.30pm. 
  
• There will be a special audiovisual display inside the Cathedral highlighting some of its architectural gems and some of its ongoing day to day life. 
  

The building and grounds will close at 5.30pm.
