Recorded in St Fin Barre's Cathedral just before the Coronavirus pandemic struck, this CD features many much loved canticles, anthems and motets. This CD has been recorded as part of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Consecration of the current Cathedral building which took place on St Andrew's Day (30th November) 1870.Part of the 150th celebrations was the running of a composition competition to compose a new setting of the Evensong canticles Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis which was won by Cheltenham-born composer Nicholas O'Neill. Both canticles are sung to the new setting on this CD.Track List:Let all the world - Ralph Vaughan WilliamsO where shall wisdom be found? - William BoyceHow lovely are thy dwellings fair - Johannes BrahmsO sing joyfully - Adrian BattenLet all mortal flesh keep silence - Edward Cuthbert BairstowGod is gone up with a merry noise - William CroftHear my prayer - Felix Mendelssohn BartholdyO quam gloriosum est regnum - Tomás Luis de VictoriaFor lo, I raise up - Charles Villiers StanfordEvening Canticles - Nicholas O'Neill
